The Tilta Pocket V-Mount Battery Plate V2 is the second generation of the smallest V-Mount plate — 51 × 35.6 × 15.2 mm and just 40 g. It fastens with a 1/4"-20 screw and locating pins (the pins can be removed) or through two 1/4"-20 threads, so you choose where the V-Lock sits. The battery clips on without tools. The plate is mechanical and has no power outputs.

The Tilta Pocket V-Mount Battery Plate V2 is smaller and lighter than the first generation — 40 g instead of 71 g. The main difference, though, is the mounting: instead of a fixed thread pattern it carries a 1/4"-20 screw with removable locating pins, so it also fits surfaces with a different hole spacing.

40 g and 51 mm wide

The second generation is down to 40 g and 51 × 35.6 × 15.2 mm. On a gimbal, a drone or a handheld rig that is a difference you feel — the weight goes into the battery, not the mount.

Mounting your way

The plate carries a 1/4"-20 screw with locating pins against rotation; the pins come out when the mating surface has no holes. Alongside are two 1/4"-20 threads for a stiffer connection to a flat surface.

V-Lock without tools

The battery goes on and off by hand and the plate carries a standard V-Lock. The flat head screw in the centre lets the V-Lock be turned to whatever orientation the rig calls for.

There are no power outputs on the plate. The camera and accessories are fed by a P-Tap cable from the battery.
