The Tilta RF-to-PL adapter support screws directly to the body of the Canon EOS C50, C80 or C400 around the lens mount and clamps the Tilta Canon RF to PL adapter with adjustable back focus. The weight of a heavier PL lens is then not carried by the camera mount alone, and you can do without rods and lens supports. A light aluminium alloy part, attached at multiple points.

Tilta RF to PL Mount Adapter Support for Canon C50/C80/C400 is a ring that sits between the camera and the PL adapter. On its own the Tilta Canon RF to PL adapter is held only by the camera mount; with a PL lens weighing several kilograms that is a lever the mount should not carry. The support transfers it to the camera body.

Directly to the camera body, at multiple points

The support screws with multiple screws directly to the camera body around the lens mount, not to the cage or the baseplate. It therefore holds at multiple points and forms one unit with the body. It then clamps around the Tilta Canon RF to PL adapter with adjustable back focus and fixes it relative to the camera.

Mount protection without rods and supports

A heavier PL lens — a cine zoom or an anamorphic — loads the camera mount with a lever otherwise carried by the RF adapter alone. The support diverts that force into the camera body, so you can do without 15 mm rods and a lens support and the rig stays small, on a gimbal for example. It is made of aluminium alloy and fits the Canon EOS C50, C80 and C400.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
