Tilta Right Angle USB-C Cable for Khronos USB-C Hub (18 cm) Tilta

Podrobný popis

The Tilta right-angle USB-C cable, 18 cm long, links the Khronos USB-C hub to the phone in the rig. The length is chosen exactly for the distance between the hub on the bottom of the case and the phone's connector, so it never loops or pulls tight, and the right-angle connectors keep the cable close to the rig. It carries power and data — recording to SSD, picture to HDMI and charging all run through the hub over it.

The 18 cm right-angle USB-C cable is the link without which the Khronos hub does not work: it connects the hub to the phone and carries power and data over a single cable. It is built for one specific distance and one specific shape of rig, which is why it fits better than any universal cable.

Eighteen centimetres, both ends at a right angle

The hub sits on the bottom mounting point of the case and the phone's USB-C connector is a few centimetres away — 18 cm of cable is exactly what the run between them needs, with no loop to catch on a handle or tripod. Both connectors are right-angled: the one in the phone does not stick out or lever the port when the rig is set down, the one in the hub guides the cable along the edge. The connection holds without strain even when shooting handheld.

Power and data over one cable

The cable carries power and data over a single link, so recording to an external SSD, the picture to the HDMI output and charging of the phone all pass through the hub at the same time. It suits both generations of the Khronos hub — Quick Release USB-C Hub and Hub V2 —; the hub ships without a cable, this is the one meant for it.

The Tilta Khronos ecosystem

Khronos is a modular system for shooting with a phone: a case or cage with mounting points that take magnetic filters, cooling, handles, lights, a USB-C hub and brackets via quick release. The parts combine and carry over between phone generations — this one is among them.
