The Tilta TA-AHA9-R-B is the Type IX mount for the right-side Tiltaing Advanced wooden handle: it drops into the handle slot of the DJI Ronin 4D and of the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor. It joins the handle at two points and the angle adjustment stays on the handle. A 2.5 mm hex key is included. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, colour black.

The Tilta TA-AHA9-R-B gives the Advanced wooden handle a place on the DJI Ronin 4D gimbal or on the DJI High-Bright monitor: it is bolted on in place of the original mount and the handle drops into the slot where DJI expects its own handle.

The Type IX mount copies the interface through which the DJI Ronin 4D and the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor take their handles. It slides into the slot and locks; it is bolted to the handle at two points, so it does not rock in it even under the pull of the hand. The shape is for the right side; the left side has its own Type IX L mount.

The angle is still set on the handle

The mount itself is rigid, but the Tiltaing Advanced Wooden Handle turns in its own joint: the button on the side releases it, the hand turns it and it locks when let go. On the Ronin 4D the wood thus sits under the palm at the angle that suits, and on the High-Bright monitor the handle follows the way the operator holds it. Swapping the mount is a job for one hex key — the 2.5 mm key is included.

Tiltaing handles and plates

The Tiltaing range builds the rig around the cage from parts that fit together: side handles with a REC button powered by a Sony F570/F970 battery or USB-C PD, wooden and quick-release top handles, handle adapters to an ARRI rosette, 15 mm LWS baseplates with a Manfrotto or ARCA plate and battery plates with P-Tap and USB-C outputs. They share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with ARRI locating pins, NATO rails and ARRI rosettes. This part is one of them.
