The Tilta TA-QRTH2-G is a lightweight quick-release top handle with ARRI locating pins: a 1/4"-20 screw pulls it to the cage and the pins keep it from twisting. It is meant only for the Tiltaing full cage for Sigma fp and the half cage for Sony a7S III. It has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, a cold shoe at the front and a pass-through for a 15 mm rod for a viewfinder or monitor. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, colour Tilta Gray.

The Tilta TA-QRTH2-G is the handle the caged camera is lifted off the tripod and carried by — and a carrier in its own right: threads on top for accessories, a cold shoe at the front and a 15 mm rod through the body for a viewfinder or monitor.

Quick release with one screw

A spring-loaded 1/4"-20 screw pulls the handle to the top plate of the cage and two ARRI locating pins drop into the holes beside the thread — the handle then cannot twist even when a heavier camera is lifted. That is exactly why it fits only cages that have those holes: the Tiltaing full cage for Sigma fp and the half cage for Sony a7S III. Removal takes a few turns and no tools.

Threads, cold shoe and 15 mm rod

Along the handle run 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for a microphone, light or receiver, with a cold shoe at the front. A hole with a locking screw passes through the body for a 15 mm rod: a viewfinder or monitor hangs on the rod and sits above the camera, not on the cage beside it. The handle thus carries what would otherwise take up space on the cage.

Tiltaing handles and plates

The Tiltaing range builds the rig around the cage from parts that fit together: side handles with a REC button powered by a Sony F570/F970 battery or USB-C PD, wooden and quick-release top handles, handle adapters to an ARRI rosette, 15 mm LWS baseplates with a Manfrotto or ARCA plate and battery plates with P-Tap and USB-C outputs. They share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with ARRI locating pins, NATO rails and ARRI rosettes. This part is one of them.
