The Tilta TC-TH-B tripod holder clamps onto the Steadicam Dock of the Boulder Camera Cart and, without tools, gives the tripod a firm place right on the cart. The folded tripod legs rest in the two cradles of the holder, the height on the dock adjusts to the leg length, and the universal design takes tripod legs of the usual sizes. The tripod thus travels around the set with the cart instead of being carried separately.

The Tilta Tripod Holder is a tripod holder made for the Boulder Camera Cart. The tripod, otherwise carried by hand around the set or leaned against whatever is nearby, gets its own place on the cart — it arrives with the camera, the head and the accessories wherever the shoot is.

Clamped onto the Steadicam Dock

The holder clamps onto the Boulder Steadicam Dock (TC-SD-B), which is required for mounting. Fitting and removal are tool-free, so the holder only comes along on shoots where the tripod rides on the cart and takes up no space otherwise. The height of the holder on the dock is adjustable, so the position of the cradles matches the leg length of the tripod in use and the tripod is held firmly at the cart, not just leaned against it.

Two cradles for common tripods

The legs of the folded tripod rest in two cradles at the ends of the holder, which hold the tripod at the sides. The design is universal — the cradles take tripod legs of the usual sizes, from lightweight to heavy cinema legs. The holder is aluminum alloy in a black finish that matches the rest of the Boulder accessories. The fluid head mount (TC-FHB-B and TC-FHK-B) clamps onto the same Steadicam Dock, so head and tripod can ride on the cart together.

The Tilta Boulder cart

The Boulder Camera Cart is an aluminum camera cart with a 400 kg payload that assembles without tools and folds into a case with its own wheels after the shoot. The posts are 40mm speed rails, the crossbars follow the NATO and Manfrotto standards and the trays carry 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads — that is where every accessory of the Boulder family mounts, including this one.
