The Tilta Universal Cooling System is a universal cooler for mirrorless cameras from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm and Panasonic Lumix. A thermoelectric plate with aluminium heatsink fins and a near-silent fan brings the contact surface down to 0 °C, so the camera does not overheat during long recordings. Three modes (quiet, ice-cool and Auto), a TFT colour display, one-press mounting and power over USB-C or from the magnetic power supply.

The Tilta Universal Cooling System (TA-UCS-B) is a thermoelectric cooler that mounts on a mirrorless camera body with a single press and keeps it running without overheating on long shoots. This variant is powered by cable over USB-C; the magnetic power supply is sold separately or in the Power Kit.

Thermoelectric cooling down to 0 °C

The cooler is built around a thermoelectric plate: the plate pulls heat away from the camera body, aluminium heatsink fins pass it to a near-silent fan, and thermally conductive silicone gives full-surface contact with the camera. In Level 2 the contact surface drops to 0 °C, so the camera neither throttles nor stops recording during long, high-resolution sessions.

One-press mounting, temperature on the display

Quick mounting with a latch: the cooler goes on and comes off with a single press, no tools, and nothing gets in the way when switching cameras. The built-in TFT colour display shows the current temperature and the selected mode, so switching between quiet cooling and full power is a glance and one button.

Three cooling modes

Level 1 (Quiet Mode) cools to roughly 5 °C with fan noise of 30 dB and below — suitable for recording audio on set. Level 2 (Ice-Cool Mode) gives full power down to 0 °C. Auto Mode adjusts the cooling intensity by itself and holds a stable 20 °C ± 3 °C, so you do not have to go back to the settings.

Power: magnetic module or USB-C

The power supply for the Universal Cooling System attaches to the cooler magnetically, and the setup stays compact and cable-free. For wired power there is the USB-C port — from a PD source, a power bank or a V-mount battery, which comes in handy for livestreams, interviews or all-day shoots.

Things to keep in mind

In Level 1 the fan may be picked up by the camera's built-in microphone because of the close proximity; recording with an external microphone is not affected.
