The Tilta TA-T08-APV1-B is a swappable V-Mount battery plate for the Advanced Power Distribution Module on the RED KOMODO. It attaches to the module with four M3 screws, so it can be exchanged at any time for a Gold Mount plate or a plate with a different orientation. Through the V-Mount the plate passes battery data to the module, and the camera shows the charge percentage directly in its menu. Type I version, black.

The Tilta V Mount Battery Plate for Komodo Advanced Power Distribution Module Type I is the battery plate that lets the Advanced Power Distribution Module on the RED KOMODO take a V-Mount battery. The plate is swappable: shooters on Gold Mount exchange it for the Gold Mount plate, and anyone who needs the battery oriented differently reaches for the Type II version.

V-Mount with four M3 screws

The plate is pulled to the Advanced Power Distribution Module by four M3 screws in the corners — swapping it for another plate takes a moment, so the rig adapts to whatever batteries are at hand. The V-Mount takes any V-Mount battery. Each plate has one fixed orientation; for a different battery position there is the Type II version.

Battery status in the camera menu

The back carries contacts through which the plate passes the V-Mount battery's data to the module. The module forwards them to the RED KOMODO body, and the charge percentage appears directly in the camera's user interface — no glance at the battery display needed. The plate is aluminium alloy with stainless steel parts, in black to match the black module.

Tilta power: V-Mount and Gold Mount

Tilta battery plates have one job: to bring power from a large V-Mount or Gold Mount battery to the camera and its accessories so that battery swaps are kept to a minimum. Every plate comes in both versions — V-Mount and Gold Mount (Anton Bauer) — and distributes power through P-Tap, USB-C and two-pin LEMO outputs, for which Tilta offers power cables for specific cameras, monitors and video transmitters. Plates for a specific body mount in the battery chamber or on the cage, universal plates on 15 mm rods. This part is one of them.
