The Tilta GSS-T01-WTC wireless thumb controller drives a DJI RS 2 or RS 3 Pro gimbal remotely and, at the same time, a Nucleus-M or Nucleus Nano wireless lens control motor — a gimbal joystick and a focus wheel in one body. It is built for the yoke of the Tilta Float system, where it sits on the monitor bracket, and also works on its own with the Wireless Control Receiver Module for RS 2. It runs on GoPro HERO5 to HERO8 batteries; aluminium alloy and stainless steel body, black.

The Tilta Wireless Thumb Controller for RS 2 is the replacement or standalone thumb controller for the Tilta Float system: it controls a DJI RS 2 / RS 3 Pro gimbal and a Nucleus motor wirelessly without the operator letting go of the grips.

Gimbal and focus from one controller

The joystick and buttons control a DJI RS 2 or RS 3 Pro gimbal wirelessly — pan, tilt and mode switching — and the focus wheel beside them turns a Nucleus-M or Nucleus Nano motor. The operator holds the Tilta Float with both hands and runs the frame and the focus with a thumb. The controller is designed for the yoke of the Tilta Float system, where it sits in the monitor bracket; it is the same controller included in the Tilta Float Handheld Gimbal Support System kit, sold as a replacement or for independent use with the Wireless Control Receiver Module for RS 2.

GoPro battery power, USB-C for firmware

The controller runs on GoPro HERO5 to HERO8 batteries, which last a full shooting day and are swapped on set. The USB-C port is for firmware updates — powering the controller through it is not recommended. The aluminium alloy and stainless steel body is light so it does not weigh on the operator during wireless operation. Two limitations: the record button does not work with Nucleus series motors, and on the RS 3 / RS 3 Pro the M key only changes the mode setting, it does not mimic the gimbal's M button.

Tilta Nucleus wireless lens control

Nucleus is Tilta's family of wireless lens control: a motor on the rods turns focus, iris or zoom, driven remotely by a hand wheel, a FIZ hand unit or a hand grip. Nucleus Nano is the smallest version for gimbals and light rigs; Nucleus-M II and Nano II are the current generation with a shared ecosystem — motors, controllers, cables and adapters combine across the range. This part is one of them.
