A fast 50 mm F1.4 for Sony E
Manual focus 50 mm lens for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras. The F1.4 aperture handles the street at night as well as portraits with a strongly blurred background.
A classic 50 mm for full frame
The 50 mm focal length with a 45° angle of view suits portrait, street and everyday photography. Manual focus gives you full control over what is sharp in the picture.
10 elements in 8 groups
One aspherical and 8 high-refractive-index elements.
Manual focus
Minimum focusing distance 0.5 m.
45° angle of view
50 mm focal length on a full-frame sensor.
68 × 57 mm
A compact lens with a 49 mm filter thread.
High sharpness
One aspherical and eight high-refractive-index elements suppress distortion and spherical aberration. The optics use 10 elements in 8 groups in total.
F1.4 aperture
The F1.4 aperture lets plenty of light onto the sensor, so the lens performs at dusk and at night. Wide open it separates the subject from the background with a shallow depth of field.
Manual focus from 0.5 m
Focusing is manual with a ring carrying a distance scale, and the minimum focusing distance is 0.5 m. The aperture runs from F1.4 to F16 and has 12 blades.
Compact dimensions
The lens measures 68 × 57 mm and sits comfortably in one hand, ideal for the street and for travel.
For full-frame Sony E
The lens fits directly on Sony mirrorless cameras with the E mount, no adapter needed. On a full-frame sensor it gives a 45° angle of view, the classic 50 mm framing.
Build details
The barrel is precision CNC-machined from aviation aluminium. The aperture ring clicks in steps, so you can feel the set value without looking at the scale.
What’s in the box
The lens comes in its original box with front and rear caps, a user manual and a warranty card.
