The Ulanzi MA30S is a magnetic phone tripod shaped like a climbing carabiner — and carried like one, clipped to a backpack loop or a belt. Folded it stands 15.3 cm tall and measures just 8 mm thick, so it disappears into a jeans pocket. A patented linked quick-release deploys all three legs with a single pull. N52 magnets rated from 14 N hold MagSafe iPhones; other phones attach through the bundled ring. The joint tilts 225° and rotates 360°. This version is silver.

One pull and all three legs stand

The MA30S uses a patented linked quick-release: the legs are not three separate parts you unfold one at a time, they are tied together. Pull the centre section and all three open at once, in a single fluid motion. Folding it back is just as quick, and a magnetic catch holds the tripod shut so it never springs open in a bag.

Eight millimetres — thinner than your phone

Folded, the MA30S is 15.3 cm tall, 5.7 cm wide and 0.8 cm thick; the grip alone is thinner still, around 0.6 cm. It is a flat plate rather than a barrel, so it slides into a back pocket, a shirt pocket or the smallest pouch in a camera bag. At roughly 70 g you forget you are carrying it.

N52 magnets, MagSafe from 14 newtons

A ring fitted with N52-grade magnets holds MagSafe iPhones from the 12 to the 17 series with a force of at least 14 N. The phone snaps itself into place and stays put even in portrait orientation. Without MagSafe, stick the bundled magnetic adapter ring to the back of the phone. The rear face of the ring is magnetic too, so a light or other magnetic accessory can attach there.

A desk tripod and a handheld grip

Open the legs for a desktop tripod: video calls, cooking along to a recipe, timelapse, group selfies. Leave the legs folded and the same body becomes a handheld grip — you hold metal instead of the screen, and the shot steadies. Safe load capacity is 450 g, enough for the largest phones in a case.

The carabiner is the body, not an add-on

The upper ring that grips the phone is the carabiner. Clip it to a backpack loop, a belt, a bag strap or a keyring and the tripod hangs there until you want it. That removes the one reason a mini tripod usually stays at home — that packing it feels like a chore.

225° of tilt, 360° of rotation

The joint between ring and body tilts through 225 degrees and the whole ring rotates a full 360. The joints are damped, so the angle stays where you set it instead of sagging under the weight of the phone. Going from landscape to portrait takes one nudge of a finger.
