RØDE has released a new version of its popular VideoMic microphone, featuring a new suspension system from Rycote. The company is in the business of manufacturing microphone accessories. There is no doubt that their Lyre suspension system is the best in the world, and that is why RØDE decided to implement this excellent system in their upcoming products. And the first of these is the new VideoMic.

The Rode VideoMic is a lightweight, highly directional, professional-grade condenser microphone . It is specifically designed for video cameras. The microphone is attached to the camera via a foot that is located on the top of the camcorder. The special directional characteristic of the microphone ensures that sound is captured in front of the camera and ambient noise is sufficiently suppressed. The suspension system eliminates noise caused by hand movements and camera shake. Durable wind protection ensures that good sound quality is achieved even in outdoor conditions. The VideoMic is designed to require only a 9V battery for operation.
