The Viltrox DG-C is an electronic macro extension ring set for Canon EOS cameras and Canon EF/EF-S lenses. The three rings, measuring 12, 20, and 36 mm in length, can be used individually or combined in seven different configurations, thereby reducing the minimum focusing distance and enabling detailed shots without a dedicated macro lens. Gold-plated contacts maintain electronic communication with the lens, including autofocus and exposure control; however, manual focus may be more practical for larger combinations and at short focal lengths.

Reduces the minimum focusing distance
An extension ring increases the distance between the lens and the sensor. This allows the lens to focus closer than it would without the ring, offering a magnified view of small subjects—ideal for product details, flowers, or small objects.
The rings can be attached individually or combined. By combining three lengths, you can create seven possible settings depending on the lens, subject, and desired magnification.
ELECTRONIC CONNECTION
Integrated contacts facilitate communication between the Canon EOS camera body and the EF/EF-S lens, ensuring that the autofocus and auto exposure functions of the compatible lens are preserved.
When using multiple rings, especially with focal lengths shorter than 70 mm, AF reliability may be reduced. In such situations, the manufacturer recommends manual focusing.
