Viltrox Mark V EF‑E5 is an electronic adapter for using Canon EF and EF‑S lenses on Sony E-mount cameras. It passes lens communication including EXIF data, enables aperture control from the camera body, and supports autofocus in phase-detection and contrast-detection modes; performance always depends on the specific lens, camera and firmware combination. A programmable OLED display shows lens information, while the switch on the adapter makes it easier to select the focus mode without entering the camera menu.

CONTROLS FOR THE WORKFLOW

The switch on the adapter selects the focus mode. The plus and minus buttons are used to fine-tune lens compatibility; the OLED also displays aperture mode and adjustment mode. The integrated removable tripod foot with a 1/4″-20 thread helps support a setup with a heavier lens.

Firmware can be updated through Micro-USB. Before using a new body or lens, check current compatibility and firmware, because autofocus behavior varies by specific combination.
