The Viltrox TC‑2.0X E is a 2× teleconverter for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras and compatible E-mount telephoto lenses. It is mounted between the camera body and the lens, doubling both the focal length and maximum magnification while transmitting EXIF data, aperture information, and autofocus signals. The optical system, consisting of 5 groups and 9 elements with three HR elements, is sealed against dust and moisture; the USB port is used for firmware updates. Always check the current list of compatible Viltrox lenses before purchasing: the teleconverter is not compatible with every E-mount lens. Expect a loss of two f-stops when attached.

DOUBLE THE REACH FOR SONY E

The Viltrox TC‑2.0X E doubles the focal length of a compatible telephoto lens. It is designed for the Sony E full-frame system and preserves EXIF data transfer, aperture values, and electronic communication between the camera and the lens.

FAST COMMUNICATION, CLEAR RULES

The integrated chip supports phase-detection AF and eye tracking on supported systems; the camera can continue to use IBIS stabilization and the lens’s OSS. However, use the teleconverter exclusively with lenses from the Viltrox compatibility list. The 2× magnification also results in a loss of two stops of light.
