The Archon CFast 2.0 memory card was developed jointly by Exascend and RED Digital Cinema and is certified for the RED KOMODO 6K. It reads at up to 560 MB/s and writes at a sustained 500 MB/s, so R3D recording runs without dropped frames. 512 GB capacity, 300 TB write endurance (TBW), protection against water, dust, impact, X-rays and magnetic fields. Five-year warranty with factory data recovery included.

RED put the Archon through its own certification programme and the card earned the RED Approved rating. In the KOMODO 6K it holds a sustained 500 MB/s write, so the camera never drops a frame even on long R3D takes.

Shooting without overheating or dropouts

Adaptive Thermal Control stops the card slowing down as it warms up, SuperCruise™ keeps the write speed stable and RAID ECC can rebuild even severely corrupted data. Industrial-grade hardware and firmware are built for shooting in the field.

Five-year warranty and data recovery

Exascend backs the card with a five-year warranty and a factory data recovery service — if footage is deleted by mistake or the card gets formatted, the manufacturer will try to get it back. 300 TB write endurance and an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours match the industrial storage the Archon is derived from.

Rugged in the field

Waterproof, dust-resistant, impact-resistant, X-ray-safe and magnet-resistant. Operates from −5 to 70 °C and can be stored from −40 to 85 °C.

SATA III 6 Gb/s

Standard CFast 2.0 interface — the card fits any camera or reader with a CFast 2.0 slot. The RED certification applies to the KOMODO 6K.

3D TLC NAND

3D TLC memory with Data Retention Plus™, which refreshes stored data before the natural degradation of flash memory can put it at risk.

The 512GB Exascend/Archon CFast 2.0 Memory Card from Vaxis is compatible with RED, Blackmagic Design, ZCam, Canon C200, Canon C300, and other devices that are compatible with the CFast 2.0 standard, which utilizes the SATA III 6 Gb/s interface. It can handle raw video and features maximum read speeds of up to 560 MB/s, maximum write speeds of up to 500 MB/s, and minimum write speeds of up to 450 MB/s.

This CFast 2.0 card has been built with protection against ESD, overloads, x-rays, and magnets, as well as a shock and vibration resistance, and is able to withstand temperatures ranging from -5 to 70° C during operation. Also featured is EDC and ECC data reliability.
