The Tilta LS-T03 is a lens support for 15 mm rods of the LWS standard. The Y-shaped cradle supports the lens from below and relieves the camera mount, the central knob sets the height exactly under the lens, and the open clamp goes onto the rods without removing the matte box or follow focus. It belongs with long and heavy lenses on a rod-based rig.

The Tilta LS-T03 handles what the camera mount cannot carry alone: a long zoom or a heavy cine lens that levers while focusing and carrying. The support transfers its weight to the rig rods and the lens stays on axis.

The lens rests on the rods, not on the mount

The support rides on the pair of 15 mm LWS rods (60 mm spacing) and supports the lens from below with a Y-shaped cradle. The weight that would otherwise lever on the camera mount goes into the rods and the baseplate — on a rig with a long zoom or a cine lens that means a steadier image while focusing and safer carrying. The cradle is rigid, the lens settles into it and does not move once the knob is tightened.

Height to suit the lens, with one knob

The central adjustment knob raises and lowers the cradle, so the support is set exactly under the lens axis — on cameras with a low or high base. Tightening presses the cradle against the lens barrel and the support secures it firmly. When changing to a lens of a different diameter, just loosen the knob, reset the cradle and tighten again, with no extra tools.

Open clamp: fit without taking the rig apart

The rod clamp is open, not a closed tunnel: the support is placed onto the rods from above and tightened, instead of being slid on from the end. The matte box, follow focus and motor mounts stay on the rig where they are, and the support is added or removed in a moment. Just as quickly it slides along the rods closer to the camera or further away when the lens changes.

Rods are the backbone of a rig: 15 mm rods (LWS standard, 60 mm spacing) carry baseplates, follow focus, matte box, lens supports and motor mounts; 19 mm stainless rods (studio standard, 104 mm spacing) take heavy builds with large lenses. Tilta makes 15 mm rods in aluminium, black or silver, 100–300 mm long, and 19 mm rods in stainless steel, 200–600 mm; rods with threaded ends join end to end with a connection screw.
